Carl Thompson Design, established in 2004, is a U.S. based Industrial Design practice headquartered in central Connecticut. While small in scale, the firm is large in experience.
The building blocks for our consultancy are formed from our extensive experience working with some of the world’s most renowned design practices including Eliot Noyes and Associates, Walter Dorwin Teague and Henry Dreyfuss Associates.
Experiences in these offices and others enabled us to work for clients such as Amtrak, IBM, Instrumentation Laboratory, Deere and Company, Mobil, 3-M Company, Coca-Cola, Gulfstream, Falcon Jet, Airbus Industrie, Boeing and AstraJet. It was in the conduct of these projects that we gained our experience and formed our views about design, craftsmanship, production, ergonomics, product safety, product quality and market appeal.
And now we are actively applying those principals and experiences to furniture design. Furniture design combines creative spirit and entrepreneurial instinct. It provides that most important piece of the design puzzle, the value of good design to strong financial performance.
